| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2003 A nice dark brown/amber with a tan head. A bit of nice chew in a medium body, distinct fennel aroma! some mild clove support, significant hops felt all the way through and if this beer tips the scales in either direction it’s the bitter. It’s very well balanced. Very nice. AustinMilbarge (681), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 1, 2003 Dark cherry color. Creamy tan head. Can you say SPICES? Nutmeg, piney and more. Spices, spices. A very Christmas-y beer. Malty behind the spices. Complex jskendzel (602), Washington DC, USA

Bitterness and hop profile works well against the spices. Sweet aftertaste to finish. A good, balanced brew. Drinkingdan (371), East Norriton, Pennsylvania, USA

One of the better seasonal oferings. Taste stays with you, but that is a good thing! jpknight22 (171), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

Somewhat misleading dark brown pour, nice tan head, nutmeg and cloves right up front. Extremely rich - mom even liked it! Racegoer (338), Somewhere Out There, USA
