Dark brown w/ a spicy aroma. Extremely drinkable, heck, my wife even liked it. Slightly sweet, but it shouldn’t be missed

Dark ruby colour. Nice, light brown head. Spicy aroma. The flavour is spicy, very spicy. Lots of nutmeg and cardamom. Gets Porter-like in the finish.

Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head. Nice malty sweet aroma with hints of ginger and cinnamon. Nice malty flavor up front, spices in the middle, and a long gingerbread finish. This beer is quite a treat.

Not unlike last year’s batch. Both malty and somewhat bitter. I’ve seen this beer called "Anchor Holyday" in NYC. Dark brown color and the body of a light porter with some roastiness. Good.

2002-The grownups hot chocolate with fruity undertones and hoppy finish. I could drink this all day long as long as there was a log fire burning.

Aroma holds much fruitiness, sort of a dark, woodsy, berryish character, along with very liberal spices and dark malt. Clear, deep, dark red in color with a creamy tan head. Flavor is very spicy (a multitiude of spices here) and has a good amount of rich malt sweetness as well, along with the blend of flavors that makes this a Holiday Ale, something like eating a lot of Christmas treats all at the same time while sitting next to a Christmas tree. This is one winter beer that would truly be out of place in the heat of summer. Finishes slightly chalky and spicy.

Bottled. Mahogany colour, little head. Hoppy, spicy aroma, rich on nutmeg. Rather sweet, but with clean malt profile and notes of chocoalate. Thorouhgly pleasant and complex with lingering bitter finish.
