It formed a good tan head which held beneath it a sweet aroma that seemed almost buttery. The taste was malty and smooth at first and then offered some hops on the back of the palate. tobias (155), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

Definitely taste strong roasted malts and spice to go along side. Not exactly what I was expecting, but a well crafted beer. frylock (1024), Buffalo, New York, USA

Moderatley bitter finish with some rasberry notes. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours very dark brown with a cozy-looking off-white head. Flavor starts of sweet with maple and milk chocolate. Finishes with a bitter rasberry taste. Good body. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2005 Pours just like the other OSAs. Nicer head than I remeber. Oh when will they bottle condition? Aromas of vanilla bean, figs, milk chocolate and roasty nuts. Mouthfeel is full. Flavors are the same as the aromas with a drying hop presence along with a very roasty palate. Much spicier than past years. Don’t know how well this will age but it tastes very nice now.
