Oct 18, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a big ol’ tan head that dissipates rather quickly. Very creamy and chocolatey, the flavor melts well into the palate. This is a great session porter, very tasty.

Oct 17, 2008 Porter sampled at the KSBF- Very dark chocolate brown with a settled off-white head. Malt-grain light sweetness on the nose. Pallet on a malt-grain path with some seasoned fruits,coffee and toffee notes. Well rounded with a slight dry finish.

Oct 15, 2008 12oz bottle from Jans Wine and Booz #2 (Tampa, FL). Pours a very dark brown to black with massive tan head that settles slowly. Head laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, molasses, ripe dark fruit, coffee, milk chocolate. Flavor is strongly malt, coffee and dark chocolate with slight bitter coffee notes close to finish. Generally full body with a bitter finish. Not bad for a porter.

Oct 10, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a deep, dark mahogany color. Nice tan head, too. Aroma was malted barley, some coffee notes. Flavor was robust, with rich chocolate and roasty coffee notes coming through. Palate was excellent, a thickness that didn’t get in the way but carried the flavors nicely. I plan on getting some more of this.

Oct 9, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours nearly opaque brown with a medium tan head. Aromas of sweet dark fruits (tons of raisin and red grape), caramel, chocolate. Flavor follows suit with the dark fruits and chocolate, then some roastiness. Clean finish.

Oct 5, 2008 Very dark pour with an off-white head that left nice lacing. Aroma was weak, consisting mainly of muted malt and coffee. Taste was better, with a mix of chocolate and coffee and some roastiness/smokiness.

Oct 3, 2008 poured dark brown with nice head that disapated to a thin head that lasted forever. didn’t get much aroma but my smeller may not be working too well. Flavor is great - creamy and chocolate/malt/coffee - nice little bite in the aftertaste to mix it up - awesome palate - Very good and I plan to get some more of this stocked up.
