Jun 11, 2008 I’m amazed at the rating of this beer! I’m realy not that impressed. The aroma was pretty good. Nice dark color with a tan head is to be expected, but the flavor was terrible. Sorry if I offend anyone but... I didn’t like it. And there was a little harshness on my palate. Didn’t like this porter.

Jun 9, 2008 bottle. not much aroma, looks great, flavor is sort of dark and roasted, but not hard roast. bit boring. palate okay, but somewhat glyey/slimey, overall okay beer, but not one i’ll have again. average too high imo.

May 27, 2008 One of my very favorite porters.
Pours deep black with a fluffy tan head. Aroma is of coffee, deep roasted malt and a very little bit of floral hops. Flavor is similar to the scent, this porter has a very strong coffee flavor, along with cocoa, and a good bitterness that plays well with the roasted malt flavors. The palate is a little thick and grainy, however with a creamyness in the back of the mouth.
