Commercial Description:
San Francisco's famous Anchor Porter brand is made in one of the smallest and most traditional breweries in the world by the brewers of Anchor Steam Beer. Our old-fashioned Porter is virtually handmade, with an exceptional respect for the ancient art of brewing. We use 100% malted barley, generous amounts of fresh, whole hops, entirely natural carbonation and a simple, natural brewing process which is like no other in the world. The deep black color, the thick, creamy head and the intensely rich flavor of Anchor Porter, made in San Francisco since 1974, have earned this delicious and unique brew a worldwide reputation for outstanding quality. It is aesthetically pleasing and wholly superior in every respect.

12 oz bottle. Very dark brown with not much of a head and really good flavor. Chocolaty flavor with a nice finish.

Great porter of a fine quality very impressive. A favorite great for a fishing trip or camping nice with marshmallows. Pours thick and dark black like an imperial stout and puts a smile on your face.

Tap and bottle. Dark black, you cannot see through this brew. It has a very strong chocolate and coffee taste. Nice hoppy aroma and sweet taste, with a somewhat bitter dark chocolate and coffee aftertaste. Highly recommended very good!!!

Pours jet black with beige head. Aroma is divine, with raisins, toffee and christmas galore. Full mouthfeel and a taste to match. One of the best beers I’ve ever had.

Oh very nice. Pour was very frothy with a thick dark brown head. Flavor is great. Along with a smooth mouthfeel with little aftertaste. Flavor is very carmel and malty with smooth toasted hoppiness. Pour is also nice and dark.
