| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 30, 2008 Bottle from BevMo! Mission Valley. An off-white, average-sized & rocky head formed over a very lightly-hazed, amber body. Aroma was grainy & nutty with well-roasted malt. Bitter flavor, somewhat weak and thin, with a tinny finish that also held burnt nuttiness. WeeHeavySD (3000), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Bottle I bought @ Bevmo a while back. 3.3 % wow this gonna prob suck. Orange pour with a bright white head. Nose is dead. Taste is pretty piss poor. Wow this is crappy if you ask me. cbkschubert (2002), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 23, 2008 22 oz. bottle courtesy of FlacoAlto - Pours a clear golden color with a 3/4 finger thick white head. Light lacing. Aroma is big herbal hops, almost skunky. Flavor is esters and herbal hops. Light to medium body. The hops linger a bit on the tongue. I kinda like this one. Thanks Sebastian. I actually really enjoyed this one, it’s not full of flavor, it’s not strong, but it’s not supposed to be. Refreshing and novel, a unique experience unseen in most breweries today. Very few American craft brewers buy into the belief that a beer that is low in alcohol can be good, but this one was. Thin-bodied doesn’t always mean bad, just usually in the form of macro-swill. topherh (931), Kearney, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jun 11, 2008 24 oz bottle. Pours clear orange with a nice white head. Aroma is mild spice. Very light mouthfeel. Flavor is bitter, very little malt sweetness(obviously thats in the Old Foghorn). Not the greatest beer I have ever had, but definitely drinkable. posikyle (165), Alabama, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Jun 2, 2008 A very odd beer. Pours a very nice brown color, with a thick, very dense head. Aroma, however, is very lacking. Flavor is very, very watered down, almost like a pale lager, with a definite alcohol bite in the end. It’s ok, I guess, if you’re just thirsty. If not, look somewhere else. GG (1640), NorCal, California, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 30, 2008 Probably my least favorite beer from Anchor. It’s not that it’s bad it just doesn’t have much too it. All the good stuff is sitting inside a bottle of Foghorn! So the beer pours out gold color with an eruptive white head. A skunkified aroma, with minimal amounts of malt...maybe even a touch bready. Mouthfeel is water-like. Little to no consistency with it. Weak flavors of minimal malt and that’s about it. I get the concept of using 2nd runnings and when you do this I’m sure this beer is about as good a a "small beer" can get. With that being said, it still isn’t very good. Easy to drink, but just nothing to it. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 29, 2008 light yellow gold body with a lasting white head. sheetrock nose, it smells a lot like coos to be honest. metallic unpleasant grain taste. i know it’s an ale, but it tastes like a lot of cheap pale lagers. bitterness dominates. slightly floral majorly unpleasant. i’ve been waiting to try this for a while, now i never need to again.
