| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 9, 2008 crystal clear yellow/orange, no head, has that anchor steam nose, bittered all of the way through the flavor, piney flavor, light body, this beer is really lacking a bready biscuit toast flavor that could totally turn this from sort of a blah beer to a true bitter, but i understand that’s not possible with the whole ’small beer’ concept, maybe make the foghorn toastier too ;) CanIHave4Beers (917), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 5, 2008 A nice light roasted malt and oolong tea aroma. This looks great with a clear amber color and ahuge lemon marange style head that sticks around and leaves a lot of lace. This has a little bit of a strange flavor but I like it none the less it is certinally dry and bitter. which I suppose is no surprise. A light fruity and lightly roasty flavor. The flavor is a little off though. I cant quite put my finger on it. craftycarl21 (576), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 26, 2008 Pours a cloudy copper with a big head. Aroma is heavy with grain, wheat, and a bit of malt. Flavor is unexciting, with a bit of bitter hop and malt and the persisting grain from the aroma. Mouthfeel is watery, nothing too great. OK brew, but not as good as some of Anchor’s other offerings. oteyj (796), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 26, 2008 Pours hazy amber with white billowy head. Aroma is grainy with some sweet malt. Flavor is somewhat lacking- a bit astringent with some sweetness and decent hop bitterness. Palate is smooth and refreshing- dry finish. Interesting but not too great.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 16, 2008 Pours a lightish amber color. Aroma is biscuity malts, some caramel, and a tiny bit of bitter hops. Taste is much the same. Nothing exciting going on, but that is the style for you. Easy drinking, I’ll give it that. not THAT bad. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 15, 2008 Pours orangish tinged amber color with off white head. Aroma is of biscuity malts and light caramel. Hops are pretty non-existant as well as the reason for drinking this. Bland and mediocre. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 30, 2008 (Bottle). Mild aroma. Orange body, off-white head. Mild nondescript flavor, slightly bitter finish. Interesting commercial description, to be sure. This is a brewer of some fabulous beers, not least of which their Liberty Ale, so I guess we can forgive them this little misguided experiment. illidurit (896), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 30, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Gold with a hint of orange and a white fluffy head. Nice lacing and retention. Aromas of fresh bread and cereal grains. Flavor is fresh and pale malty, with a touch of grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Smooth and crisp. A simple but effective beer.
