Pours a clear copper color with a big off white head.
Spicy sweet , grainy yeasty smell, like a nice german Lagar.
Light-medium bodied with light carbonation.
Nice malty grain flavor with spicy yeast.
Finishes with a medium bitter taste on the tongue.
One of the first micros I quaffed back at the start of the micro revolution.
Still pretty tasty today.

Sep 3, 2008 Taste 9/8 Bottle(8JK). Looks Copper, off white head. Aroma: Very mild fruit and grain. Taste: Clean and dry, with a neat chewy body. Nice dry grassy and fruit finish. Interesting.

Sep 1, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a shiny white head. Smell is sweet and nutty. Taste is similar to smell, well-rounded, with a slight bitter hoppy finish.

Sep 1, 2008 Pours a nice copper with a solid dense white head. Aroma is somewhat hoppy with a malt backbone. Flavor has a certain nuttiness about it but caramel & toffee are slightly more dominant. Very refreshing...good session drinker.

Aug 31, 2008 12 oz. bottle. 35 years ago this was it, the best there was. Pours a nice creamy head, pleasant golden brown color, mild non-spicy, non floral nose, crisp, clean palate with finishing moderate hop[ bitterness. Still a pleasant beer but no longer uniquely outstanding.
