BMan1113VR (628), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA May 11, 2008 Pours with a large, rocky white head covering a medium to dark golden hued body. Aroma is fruity, clean, and wheat like. Taste is bitter up front, slightly metallic, and really not too pleasing. Creamy mouthfeel, but too carbonated for me.
Slipstream (310), USA Jul 17, 2008 I had it served cold, since it is a summer brew. The label says it is a malted wheat ale. Decent pour with lacing. The aroma is fresh and mild. The flavor is dry, light, and crisp. Flavors of wheat and malt are present, but nothing else noteworthy, such as esters or spices. This is a nice, simple, summer wheat ale. Adding a little lemon or lime adds some flavor. graham515 (275), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 15, 2008 Pours into the glass a clear gold with minimal white head. Aroma is somewhat grainy with a bit of yeast muddled by some hop character. Flavor is nice and light as described, but lacks any real depth that so many wheat beers have. I love anchor beers, but this one didn’t hold up to their reputation. Butters (263), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pours a translucent gold with fair white head and good lacing. Aroma of funky pine. Cloying finish. 37steel (167), St. Charles, Illinois, USA Jul 9, 2008 12 oz bottle. Clear light yellow with a white head. Sour almost lemony aroma. Clean wheaty spicy flavor. Extremely drinkable. Great lawnmower type of beer. Perfect for what it is. texasbartender (124), Sugarland, Texas, USA Jul 8, 2008 The beer pours a very clear golden yellow with a thin white head. The nose is grassy with a light sourness. The taste is a mix of earth and grass with a slightly sour acidic finish.
