| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Deep brown, old snow colored head. Earthy rustic tree root kind of smell, very much 3 ft down and dark. Some plumy caramel. Much more brisk carbonation than expected, emphasized by a touch of wheaty roast. Loamy caramel flavor, licorice, walnuts, a tannic plum skin finish. A beer both wintery and refreshing.
