| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Pours a deep mahogany/brown, bit of tannish foam that dissipates quickly. Odor is a bit sweet and cloying, as is the initial taste. Seriously, not sure what the big deal is, I’ve had much better DB’s than this one. tnkw01 (205), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

This is now the best beer I have ever tasted. In my opinion this is the most under-rated beers on the entire web site. Nice malty flavor. Smells like paradise. Everyone who loves dark beers has to try this one once in there life. Enjoyit (1744), Vadum, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Bottle. Was definitely looking forward to this one, but I was a tad disappointed. Color was close to almoond. Aroma of caramel, nuts and fruit. Flavor was the same with a lot of bread, dough and alcohol. Dark fruit throughout as well. Smoke/roasted notes were subdued.
