Pours a deep brownish red with medium head. Flavor is sweet creamy carmel and chocolate malts with subtle hop undertones. Palate is very smooth and clean. A great Doppelbock. Thick mouth feel with a malty body that has many different flavors in it. Towards the end of liter you start tasting more boozy flavors that warm you on a cold late november Bavarian day. Powerful but the alcohol warms without singing your taste buds. Toffeish and deep. Earthy and silky. Wonderful.
