Really nice beer. Good body, notes of dried fruit. Sweetness and malty. A great beer to drink, when i need some ekstra.

Thanks to HannonT for this beer. Brown/copper pour with a thin light beige head. Nose of caramel, lightly toasted malts, and slight oxidation. Body was soft and pretty smooth. Decent doppelbock, but I think it was starting to turn with the oxidation.

Bottle. Brown body, with a small offwhite head. This must have been a bad brew, because, the flavor was flat and boring, almost no carbonation. But i did taste some malt and straw.

Bottle at Plan B. Reddish brown body witha medium beige head. Sweet malty aroma with some grain and hay. Medium bodied. Hay, dark fruit and loads of malt in flavour. It did not live up to my expectations. 6-3-6-3-13. New sample from bottle. Brown body with a big creamy off white head. Lots of dark malt in aroma, dark bread and fruit. Sweet malty flavour and light roasty notes. Some fruit. Creamy body. This sample was way more fresh than my previous rating.

Just spent 3 weeks in Bavaria and had the honor of visiting Klosterbrauerei Andechs 6 times. You cannot beat their doppelbock on tap. It’s quite nice seeing a traditional wooden vessel being used as a keg. A must for any beer enthusiast if visiting the munich area. I must have drank 3 liters each visit.

Dark brown with big creamy light brown head. Huge malt aroma and dried fruit Flavour is sweet malt, caramel, dried fruit and a little alcohol. Warming sweet bitter finish. A fantastic beer.
