Borresteijn (448), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 8, 2008 On tap @ De Geuzen last winter. Dark reddish brown, creamy head. Aroma of sweet malts, laurel, liquorice. Taste is sweet, malty, laurel and liquorice as well. Became cloying towards the end, too much sugar I guess. Lots of nice flavours though. cluny6 (61), Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England Aug 4, 2008 Updated: Aug 14, 2008From bottle. Dark redish brown, hazy. Little head that quickly goes away.Malty aroma. Very malty taste, burnt caramel. Carbonated. Taste not very complex, mostly malt. Somewhat sweet. Ok I guess. I am an Ale drinker venturing out into other worlds.
