Oct 19, 2009 Bottle. Banana and caramel malt aroma. Cloudy brown-orange color with moderate head. Slightly sweet banana, clove, and caramel malt flavor with just a hint of smoke in the finish. Nice body. Excellent - a top of the line dunkelweizen (but what else would you expect from Andechs).

Aug 22, 2009 Dark brown body with a cream head. Head left quickly and no lacing. Smell is very smoky and malty with sweet plum notes. Taste is the same plus a little banana with a slight bitter bite at the end. Enjoyable.

The taste is caramel with a little smoked malt, sweet and fruity like bananas. Notes of bitter. The aftertaste is gentle with a little bitter and caramel sweet.

Aug 15, 2009 Bottle from Realale.com. Dark brown with a big offwhite head. Nice banana, roast and caramel aroma. Spiced banana flavours, quite balanced, not too sweet, hinbts of bread. A rather more spicy version of a dunkelweizen.
