What 1st strikes you is the color. Like amber from ancient tree sap. Almost ruby. Aroma is ok, woody and dark hops. The flavor is where this beer really impressed me. Layers of stuff going on, intense, balanced and dense with weight and complexity to it that I haven’t experienced in any other recent Imperial IPA’s. My rating is higher than most but I think this beer needed some time to come around and put on weight, much like a wine. Will have to get more and try one in a year and see if it continues to get better.

Bottle from IrishBoy. Thanks!
Pours a deep, sappy amber with a malty grapefruit nose. Flavor is grapefruit biscuit with a floral finish. Mouthfeel is nice and thick, leaving a lasting film of flavor on the tongue. Nice beer, but I prefer a little less malt in my IPAs.

I really enjoyed this beer, seemed really well balanced, and very smooth for the strength. I bought four more.

Bottle shared by CaptainCougar. Light copper color, a bit of haze but not much. Nose if pungent, spicy thyme and cannabis hops, pineapple rind and pungent, stinky, sugar-coated, assertive hops. A bit messy, I’ll admit, but still it’s quite straightforward with respect to hops, and ultimately it’s tasty. Bit of alcohol shows up after a little time, which I could do without, but overall it’s nice.

22oz bottle, courtesy of CaptainCougar. Thanks, Tom! Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber color; white head with a foamy perimeter of bubbles. Loads of resiny oranges, earthiness, and sweet candy sugar in the aroma; definitely sweet, but nice, soft, intense hop character. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: resiny, sweete orange and tree fruit hoppiness; surprisingly little astringency; very sweet, chewy candy sugar core; a bit heavy on the palate, but generous and enjoyable. Lengthy, bitter finish: tongue-numbing oranges and fruity hops; sugar and toasty malts; some lingering sweetness.

Bomber from bevmo. Pours orange with a 1 finger tan head. Fresh Hoppy Nose. Taste is a big piney resin punch. Pretty good overall.

Pours ambers with a dense, lasting, head of microscopic bubbles. Hops in the aroma are mostly of pine. Some alcohol comes through as well. Flavor is earthy pine, sweet, with a smooth bitterness. Pretty decent.
