12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a very dark chestnut brown color with a 2-finger head. Good head retention and not much lacing. Aroma of sweet, roasted malts with some lactic and chocolate notes. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, nuts and a fruity finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Very nice.

12 oz. bottle. Pours pitch black with a nice brown head. The head doesn’t stick around long and doesn’t leave much lacing. The nose is light, having some roasted malt and oats. Medium carbonation with a nice rich and oily mouthfeel. Definite coffee and oat notes on the palate along with some brown sugar and maybe a hint of smoke. Just a little bitterness helps round things out. Pretty clean finish. Overall a very good stout!

Fantistic brew! Oatmeal is noticable on first sip. Not very thick as stouts go. Very smooth and drinkable.

Brewed in the USA..... Pours black in color with a small dissipating tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, oatmeal and chocolate. Taste is of chocolate, malts, coffee and mild hops. The mouthfeel is not thick or complex as the commercial description is saying. However, I would say this stout is enjoyable to drink.

The oatmeal is tangible in the nose, with chocolate malts, peat, coffee, and hops added in the taste. Jet black, even in small quantities held up to bright light. Excellently smooth.
