Saw this on tap at my local homebrew supply shop...and wow! What a find. Dark, coffee aroma with a similar complexion. Mocha brown head quickly dissipates. Flavor of cinnamon, caramel, and light coffee, this is a great tasting stout. Similar to other oatmeal stouts with a burned grain sort of aftertaste. Thick, but not cloying. Complex, but very drinkable. A wise choice.

Flavor of chocolate, malt, and bread, with a bit of esters. For some reason this makes me think of a soda fountain drink. I liked this a lot! joeneugs (371), Livermore, California, USA

Aroma is oatmeal, chocolate, coffee, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with heavy notes of chocolate, frappucino, vanilla, mint, and oat. A little fruit. Kind of thin, but very enjoyable. Finishes like a flavored latte. Nice, roasted, but sweet. Toxygen (366), Sanford, Florida, USA

I know this bottle had some age on it, not sure how much but you could tell it’s had time to sit and change. Hearty aroma of molasses, chocolate, mild port wine and some good burnt malts. Black body with a quarter inch, swirling brown head and moderate lacing. Medium bodied and soft. Roasted nuts, burnt caramel and dry coffee flavors. Semi-sweet chocolate, floral hops and grainy oatmeal. Good stout, I’d like an extremely fresh bottle some day to compare. manuchampions (133), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Poured obsidian black, small tan head with good lacing, aroma of malts, chocolate, coffee and some bitter. Coffee, roasted chocolate malts, a bit bitter, a bit sweet. There is a slightly sour after taste that is not unpleasant. Appreciate it even though I’m not a huge stout fan. keith0718 (164), Olathe, Kansas, USA
