Poured a copper color with a white head. Aroma was mainly mild maltiness with a bit of hops. Flavor was much the same. Pretty plain amber ale.

Bottle pours caramel amber brown in color with an off-white head. Basic nose of toasted malts, bread crust, a little bit of Munich and caramel malt, light to medium hop presence in nose but mostly a nutty-type smell. Similar flavor: toasted bread crust, bran, grains, light to moderate coarseness throughout, a big of some soggy bran muffin and a light orange/peanut note of hop flavor, medium to light bitterness (taken over by the coarseness).

Nice ruby color, sturdy, but thinner head. Nice chewy malts are apparent right away as well as a caramel, vanilla touch, with slight fruit notes. The body is very well balanced, with a heavy malt presence offset buy a sturdy hop presence. Good mouthfeel and quite drinkable.

Tasted many times. The most recent from a bottle purchased at Belmont Station--Poured a rich medium amber body with a whitish medium head. Nose of sweet cookies and cream with a sugary toffee essence. Not too bold, but very quaffable and nearly sessionable. One of the quintessential amber ales. Love this beer!

Really smooth amber beer. Loved it. Aroma was kind of weak, but Im not sure if that was the beer or my allergies. Nice dark amber color, big fluffly head, goes down really smooth. Ill take this any day.

Bottle Pours a deep dark amber with a nice creamy beigh head. Aroma of caramel malts, light toffee, and some floral hops. Flavor is similar to aroma with a good hop-malt balance and with a little bitterness medium bodied with a semi dry finish.
