The aroma had a slight smell of chocolate, caramel and toast. The taste was a sweet toffee caramel followed by an herbal hoppiness that was nicely balanced, leading to a soft bittering finish. I finished this one fast so I may have to re-judge it at some later point. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England

Pours a rich amber colour with a persistent head that leaves decent lacing. Inviting aroma of toffee, malt, fennel and other spices gets your mouth watering. Peppery at first, then malty and then pleasingly hoppy. Full bodied but lively on the tongue, this stands up well to food. A very nice amber ale. TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA

Poured amber (imagine that) with a bit of orange on the rim. Nose is a bit subdued, but I get some caramel and a bit of citrus. Good hops in the body, once again the caramel and possibly a touch of vanilla show their face and it is then gone in the soft body. A decent beer. tomthompson89 (1488), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
