12oz. A little more character than most ambers I have had. Poured amber (imagine that) with a bit of orange on the rim. Nose is a bit subdued, but I get some caramel and a bit of citrus. Good hops in the body, once again the caramel and possibly a touch of vanilla show their face and it is then gone in the soft body. A decent beer.

Nov. 2006 - Beer poured a beautiful amber color, opague, small head and decent lacing. Weak malty aroma. The flavor was caramel malts with some mild hop bitterness in the finish. Flavor got slightly richer as it warmed, but still not really strong. Dry mouthfeel.

Light amber colored ale with a dense off-white head that fades pretty quickly, smells mostly of hopswith an undertone of caramel, tastes pretty fruity, apricot and maybe tangerine, really this is straddling the line between an American pale and an amber. Quite a bit of carbonation but fairly smooth feel. A little hop citrus flavor on the finish. Just a small bit of bitterness.

12oz bottle. Pours amber colored with an off-white head, leaves a bit of lace. Smells malty metallic. Tastes of light toasty malts and earthy hops. Medium body with good carbonation. Not a bad brew.

Bottle. Medium rocky beige head. Clear copper body. Nose has tropical fruit and toasted malt. Flavor is dominated by slightly burnt toffee malt flavor. Finish is lightly oily bitterness that lingers. Palate is full and creamy. Nice ale.

I dunno, this beer didn’t strike me as anything outstanding. Maybe I didn’t drink it in the right circumstances or something, but overall for me it tasted like a pretty standard amber ale. Nothing really to complain about though... Malty, somewhat sweet aroma with a more or less simple taste. Goes down smooth and is easy to drink many of.

From the tap poured amber with a little head. Solid flavor with a lasting finish.
