May 21, 2007 Rated 7/21/06: Now this is an amber ale for me, nice quality. Reddish brown color with a decent head leaving trace amounts of lacing. Aroma is not extremely intense, but it is sturdy sweet with caramel and a light hop aroma very inticing. Fresh and satisfying to the palate a real good feel to this one. Flavor is incredibly balanced. Tons of malt in this one and just the right amount of mild hops. Perhaps one of the most balanced beers ever to cross my lips. Great Amber, sweet and yummy a pure delight.

May 16, 2007 Updated: Jan 20, 2008I remember wayyyy back this being one of my first micros. "This is sooooo bitter" .. oh my how times have changed. Just your average amber with a fairly nice finish with mild bitterness. Poundable.

May 15, 2007 Bottle. Pours nice copper color with a medium off white head. Aromas of caramel and some metallic maybe? Something that doesn’t fit. Taste is more caramel and a little fruit from the hops. A rating below says something a little tangy and I agree. Average, not good, not bad. Very drinkable.

May 3, 2007 3-May-07 12oz bottle. Orange-amber color with medium-small head. Aroma is very malty, with cookie dough and caramel malts. Subtle notes of orangey potpourri and ginger. There’s a very similar tangy quality in this beer shared by other Anderson Valley stuff. It’s distinctive. Leaves a bit of a vegetal, ketchupy aftertaste.

Amber in color with a nice head. This was a nice easy to drink beer. I liked the flavors the malts and light hops. A great beer. Good rich malts.

Apr 16, 2007 Caramel malt aroma. Appearance is coppery amber. Flavor is sweet caramel. Very smooth and velvetty. Medium bodied. A very nice amber ale.
