A nice just off-white head that starts out nearly an nich tall, but quickly fades into a ring around the outside. The aroma is a little sweet banana, spice/pepper, hops, pine ... overall quite nice aroma. Flavor is kind of sweet and weak. Some lemon, pine, a little hops, a fairly signifigant malts presense. also a signifigant finish of something I can’t quite put my finger on maybe biscuty/hoppy. Its not a great powerful flavor thats complex but nice and pleasant. A tasty amber- a highly underrated style imo. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA

The first aroma that hits me is an odd one: rosemary, and a good deal of it. Upon second inspection it seems to be the sweetness of caramel malt mixing with the spiciness of the hops. Interesting effect. The same thing happens in the flavor; the malt and hops just blend that well. That said, the beginning is rather bland. All the flavor comes in toward the middle and doesn’t stick around very long. Light spicy hops on the finish. Very drinkable. chargerfanjess (116), San Diego, California, USA

Copper to Red in color nice medium head and pleasant hoppy aroma The flavor was awesome perfect balance between hops bitterness and malty flavors. Nice clean caramel malt finish with full palate! framebender (56), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Payed way too much for it and overall am let down. Was good beer, but not anything stellar and not worth $10 a sixer. Very balanced amber ale with just the right carbonation. No lingering flavor or complexity and this is what lets me down. Fine beer but needs something more to it. IrishBoy (2725), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 29, 2006 Bottle. Bright amber color, beige head. Light, sweet, and fruity nose and flavors. A little too easy and simple, not really anything remarkable. TheBeerOrg (1589), Kentucky, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 1, 2006 Pours dark amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of metallic, oxidized (cardboard) notes, and dates. Taste is sweetish malts, slightly nutty toasted malt. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, slightly sticky with medium carbonation. Not bad, but not very enjoyable.
