Oct 14, 2005 I love this ale. It is even better if you are lucky enough to find it on tap. I really can not say enough about anderson valley brewing company, they make some of the best beers in the world. As a homebrewer , this is the kind of beer I strive to make. Just feels really great in the mouth, excellent CLEAN taste. You can feel the love in this beer. Loads of flavor and none of them bad.

Oct 12, 2005 12 oz. bottle. Another favorite from Anderson Valley. Deep amber with an off white head. Malty palate, subltle hop flavoring and aroma. An excellent example of the style, and very drinkable. Since it’s not overpowering in its own right, it serves well with a meal.

Oct 7, 2005 Draught at Tyler’s in Durham, NC. Clear brown color with thin whit head. Nice caramel nose and flavor. Slightly sweet. No hop flavor or aroma. Easy to drink, but not exceptional.

Oct 7, 2005 Bottle. Pours an amber color with a big tan head. Smells citrusy, sweet, malty.Tastes much like it smells with a slightly nutty taste. After trying Fat Tire last night, I can see the difference. This beer tastes so much better.

Sep 29, 2005 Reddish orange clear colour with a creamy white head. Clean caramely and fruity aroma with strong notes of raw yeast. Earthy, caramely flavour, hints of black currant with a disturbing yeasty undertone. Grassy and yeasty aftertaste.
