Bottle. Orange colour with a small off-white head. Sweet dark fruits, hoppy aroma and a sweet malty, hoppy taste, raisin. Medium body and a sweet finish.

I had this on tap at Redbones in Somerville, Mass and it was an unexpected pleasure as I am not accustomed to enjoying Amber Ales. It is very thick and nearly syrupy with hints of some fruit, perhaps apricot or lightly of cherries. The hoppiness (and thus bitterness) is mild.

Good citrus hop aroma stands out. Dark amber body with off white decent head. Flavor had a sweet malt and decent balance of hops. Smooth easy drinkable beer. Little dryness left on palate.

Had this on tap at Satallite Ballroom in Charlottesville, VA. At least I assume it was this beer, it was listed simply as Anderson Valley Amber. I was surprised with the complexity of this beer, nice hoppy head, good colour, nice mouth feel. There isn’t much malt character present, but it is a good robust beer. Great flavour.

A great amber. One of the best I’ve had in a while. Nice body. Smooth and hoppy/sweet. Very easy to drink and enjoy.

I usually don’t care for the lighter brews, but this was surprising. Nice hoppy flavor with great balance and complexity. Definitely one to have again. I had it off tap at pizza port san clemente.

Interesting amber all around. The nose is slightly fruity and subdued. Rather red and translucent body. Tastes rather bitter and citrusy throughout, with some underlying caramel and toffee notes. Unexpected, but good.
