Light chill haze to the orange-amber body with an initially good-sized off-white head that recedes slowly to a ring. Aroma has a lightly dry, herbal-like hops, lightly fruity yeast, and some very dry, but authentic caramel notes. Aroma gets richer as it warms. Flavor begins with a good mix of light caramel/toffee and herbal/floral hops. The hops have little bitterness in them, as not much is needed to balance the mostly dry malt. There is a bit of breadiness to the body, a light brown bread type flavor, with a touch of yeast. I was ready to write this one off as well-made but unremarkeable, but then we get to the retronasal aspect, which is a flavorful green hops flavor that is not found while drinking the beer. Lightly leafy/juicy with a bit of mint, it is a wonderful flavor and I find myself enjoying the retronasal aspect more than the beer. Medium body, no thinning, moderate, natural carbonation. Anderson valey’s beers are just so well made. sfontain (507), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Flavor quite sweet and very malty; lightly nutty; hint of grapes/raisins. Solid body and not overly sticky. Somewhat forgettable yet solid and very drinkable. hayduke (1677), Eureka, California, USA

Strong malt flavor with just enough hops. Clean mouthfeel. This was a very tasty and refreshing offering and good for the style, which is not my favoirte. Second glass was as good as the first, always an indication of a quality brew. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
