Flavor is rich and creamy, with some citrus, hazelnuts and maple syrup. Creamy, substantial finish. Very nice.
Re-rate: Still a decent go-to beer, but it seems kind of flat overall anymore. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 21, 2004 Deep orange with nice head, very appetizing in the glass. A very quaffable amber with enough malt presence and hop bite to distinguish it from many insipid entries in this category. DYCSoccer17 (2192), Davis, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 20, 2004 Aroma is light and sweet, some fruits present and grains. Sweet corn aroma. Gorgeous appearance. Slightly hazy amber with a boisterous light tan head. Noticeable alcohol burn towards the end and quite hopped to finish. Pleasant sweet malts to start though. My lasting impression though is that this guy is too hopped at the end for me in the Amber style. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2004 Pours very dark for an amber, small beige head, noticeable absence of aroma (although I had this in between two great belgian ales, oops). Decent taste, this would be a good beer to compliment a great meal. Hab40oz (242), Grants Pass, Oregon, USA

I wouldn’t say that Boont Amber is the best but in relation to other beers of its kind its right up there. Boont has a very nice dark amber color and a rich sweet taste that makes my stomach ask for more and more. Its tasty! Not too hoppy, and not very bitter, just a cool refreshing amber ale . beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2004 Pours a cloudy dark orange with a small amount of white head that falls quickly. malty aroma with a nice hop tone. Taste is sweet and malty at first then the hops bring on a bit of a bitter taste towards the end, smooth and crisp. I.C.suds (186), Da U.P. eh?, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2004 Sampled on tap at Lake Tahoe. Richer carmel and toast maltiness than most ambers. Tasty, crisp hop but not overbearing. One of the best in the west.
