Pours a cloudy dark orange with a small amount of white head that falls quickly. malty aroma with a nice hop tone. Taste is sweet and malty at first then the hops bring on a bit of a bitter taste towards the end, smooth and crisp.

Sampled on tap at Lake Tahoe. Richer carmel and toast maltiness than most ambers. Tasty, crisp hop but not overbearing. One of the best in the west.

Nice brew. Pours a cloudy dark amber with an off-white head. Malty aroma. Taste is very nicely balanced; there’s caramel malt and some citrus with a definite hop presence. Mouthfeel is very full and round leaving a nice bitter aftertaste. Good carbonation with a hearty feel and good alcohol presence. Very satisfying. Recommended.

Thick, creamy head, and a dark coppery color. Questions of style heredity swim around my brain. Is it an American version of German altbier, or English bitter? They already have an example of the latter, but, no matter... Aroma is soft, citrusy, but mild. Good hops, good bite and texture, adequate malt, light body, very smooth and easy to drink. Some dischord in the finish. Altogether fine, but not memorable.

More reminiscent of an IPA than a typical American amber. Some sweet malt flavors with plenty of hops in the finish.

Nice reddish-copper color. Pleasant hoppy aroma. Hop flavor is predominant. Has a touch of malt, semi-sweet and bitter in the palate. An easy drinking beer.

slightly cloudy reddish/copper color, frothy white head, mix of hops, yeast, caramel, toasty, lightly sweet; flavor is a blend of various flavors, toasty malt, caramel, nice medium hop bitterness, light sweetness, yeasty as well, smooth and easy to drink, kind of all over the place
