Anderson Valley Boont Amber Ale is a clear amber color with a very thin light amber head. No real aroma can be detected. The finish is very clean with a bit of a wet mossy takeaway. This is a ver drinkable ale. Barreras (132), Diamond Bar, California, USA

Very drinkable, bitter aftertaste that lasts a little while after you swallow. LilBeerDoctor (1530), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours a nice amber/orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt and lots of raspberries. Flavor is quite sweet and fruity too with almost a juice-like quality. Lots of apple and light fruits. Pleasant and easy to drink. A nice amber.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 19, 2009 Bottle. Aroma of sweet, caramel malt, raspberries, sweet woody notes, lightly herbal leafiness (from hops?). Flavor really explodes with semi-bitter raspberries as the wood/herbal notes play a complementary role. Incredibly creamy mouthfeel, particularly for an amber, really works nice with all the sweetness. A playful hint of bitterness toward the swallow with tons of raspberries and other red fruits. Great, great stuff. pauljackson1 (25), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA

This rating is of the 2008 bottle, however, my initial experience was with a ~22 ox bottle around ’93, at which time the grain (tannins?) and hops combined to create a flavor like that of bitter tea. At any rate, it was very delicious. rcasta (489), El Salvador

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Pours an amber color with a copper hue and an off white head with lacing and lots of action.
Caramel malt smell with crisp esters in the background.
Light bodied resinous malt taste with some cola hops in the background. Soft and lively carbonation that lingers somewhat of a sweet tea flavor.
Very drinkable session beer. carruthm (1171), Seattle, Washington, USA
