6-pack from Total WIne, River Edge, NJ...bottle pours cloudy amber, off-white head...smell of malts, dried apricot and sugary citrus fruits...taste much of the same with caramel...good drinkable amber.

Pour is a dark brown with an average white head. Aroma is a big load of malts with some dark fruit. Flavor is a decent helping of malt with some brown sugar and molasses. This is a very decent amber ale.

Pours a pretty reddish copper with a bountiful but fleeting creamy head and light carbonation. Aroma is malty and biscuity. Mouthfeel is medium. Flavor is a light sweetness quickly fading to a floral hoppiness. Finishes with a pleasant citrusy hoppiness.

Ok....this is an Amber Ale right? Well why do I immediately get oatmeal on the nose? Interesting! Loads of blueberry and vanilla cream too! Touches the tongue sweet then immediately turns sharp and just as soon fades to smooth and creamy with a definitive taste and mouth coating of caramel. Candy floss in mid-palate then a light fade where I caught a hint of celery hiding! Generous head and light carbonation. Pretty good stuff!

Reasonable offering from those pot-smoking NorCal hippies. Amber color, medium body. Strong sweet caramel malt and nicely hopped.

On tap at Zingermanns Roadhouse in Ann Arbor on November 28, 2008. Light amber color with yellow tints. Sweet aroma. Flavor is interesting, almost light a lightly sweet syrup. Alright.

Bottle into glass. Doughy balanced, drinkable, simple, but delicious. Good stuff, great session brew.
