Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Light citrus, caramel aroma. Caramel, light woodsy, grassy, citrus flavors. Medium-light body. Well balanced. Lingering citrus, woodsy hops, and caramel.

Think of this as a West Coast ESB. Big citrus hops domonate. Not my idea of an ESB. Not a bad brew per se, just not what I expect from an ESB.

Bottle courtesy of douglas88. Pours copper with a creamy white head. Smells of flowers, perfume, some earthiness. Tastes moderately bitter with some dry malt and citrus. Decent fruity finish.

Full marks for appearance! It’s a beautiful cloudy golden honey color with a perfect fluffy white head. Aroma is earthy, but just fruity and hoppy enough to make me think that I am drinking an IPA. Fruit smells are dried apples and prunes, with a bit of orange. After another whiff, I have decided that the hops are not as forward as I had originally thought. The hops are the dominant flavor, however. It has a very nice fresh hop flavor with lots of orange flavor as well. Feels nice, looks nice, smells nice, and tastes nice. I think this is a very underrated IPA. I mean, ESB. (oops!)

12 oz bottle froma trade with douglas88. pours copper with a nice tan head and soft carbonation. subdued malty aromas with floral hops. balanced flavours with malt emphasis lead to a slightly bitter hop finish. very drinkable and enjoyable. very close to rogue brutal bitter. cheers doug!

Nice, good for cutting through a saucy dinner. Bitter, without being pungent. Fruity, without being too sweet. More even than Brutal Bitter by Rogue. A good session beer.

Yeasty grapefruit smell. Cloudy golden pour, enormously thick head, good lacing. Tases of orange, lemon, and decent balance of hops. Pine needle finish. Medium body, tolerably bitter. Seems too citrusy for a ESB.
