A nice aroma light citrus. Tast of light hops a touch of malts. A nice all around ESB. Optigon (562), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Poured a hazy golden orange color. I loved the smell of this one. Very sweet and funky, like an orange on the verge of rotting! Taste was very bitter and hoppy, with a lingering aftertaste of funk. NobleSquirrel (1119), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2008 a decent ESB, has a distinct English malt character. Certainly damp kilned malts and a soft carbonation and quite clear copper brew. Nice spicy hop character with a fair amount of bitterness, pretty decent. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA

Beer poured orange with decent head and lacing. Aroma was bready and citrusy. The flavor was sweet bread malts, citrusy hops, a touch of caramel and a slight grassiness in the end. Very pleasant and easy drinking! FlyingSwine (170), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 30, 2008 Vigerous pour into an English Pint, results in a perfectly cloudy amber/orage color, and a nice one-finger head. Aroma is dominated by foral and citrus scents. The flavor is pedestrian (citrus/floral), and finishes dry. Additionally, this one contains almost none of the bitterness of a proper ESB. Palate isn’t horrible, but not as smooth or creamy as I prefer. I’d say its more of an American Pale, than an ESB. I won’t be stocking the fridge wtih this one. Naka (526), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 22, 2008 A dirty amber apple cider color with very little to no head. A very fruity bready aroma with a hint of bitterness, but not a whole lot. A tasty toffee malty flavor. Doesn’t have much bitterness at all, just a hint at the end. Has decent body from the carbonation. elelwarren (138), SF Bay area, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 12, 2008 Another Anderson Valley winner-this something between their undrinkable IPA and their subtle, session beer, Boont amber. Poured with an outstandingly beautiful, large head. Aroma of blackberry leaf, tangerine skins & alcohol. This is a sweet beer! Candy sweet, in fact, with fruity guava overtones changing to pine-cones. Seems dry-hopped. Sticky, thick palate might be the weakest element. Otherwise a great drink.
