bottle-from state liquor store. very bready and cereal aroma. much sweeter as it warmed. good hop bite initially, with lots of citrus flavors. caramel malt is is there, but takes a backseat to the hops at the back of the tongue. long, hoppy finish. very good.

Fruity/flowery and somewhat skunky aroma that lets you know the hops are coming. Hits the glass medium golden with a well retained head. Starts bitter and then balances with a sweet at the end followed by intense hop bitter aftertaste. Smooth, crisp, refreshing -- all of those adjectives the big names claim yet fail to provide. An great beer. Anderson Valley is now 4 for 4 with me.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is a stong hop with a touch of malts in there, I also detect some sour apple. Flavor is fruit and citrus with some earthy moss in there. A very tasty and satisfying brew.

Pours a nice hazy golden orange color. Aromas of nice citrus/grapefruit hops. Flavor starts malty and the hops kick in, nice crisp bitter finish.

Bottle (12oz). Poured clear amber-gold with a decent off-white head and nice lacing. Nice balanced aroma of citrus hops and slightly roasted malt, and yeast. Taste is very resiny hoppy, the malt’s there, but this have an almost oily, sharp bitterness that builds, with an oddpine aftertaste. Very bitter and astringent mouthfeel. I like it, but it’s not like any ESB I’ve ever had.

On tap in Eureka, CA. Very clear. Rich copper color. Medium tan head. Malts and lots of hops with good balance. Hint of citrus. Nice bitter taste and good finish. Yum.

Nice clear copper with an off white head that lasted a few minutes. An intital maly sweetness quickly followed by floral hop flavors and bitterness that lasts well into the finish. Needs a little more malt character and feel in my opinion, but a very nice ale indeed.
