Bottle: Alcohol is a bit to overpowering over all other flavors. Food pairing: Smoked Salmon.

Amber with a lasting off-white head. Caramel malty aroma with American pine hops. Full malty flavour with caramel, and a good hop flavour.

Tastes like a hoppy Baltic Porter that’s not too sweet. Lots of caramel, with tobacco (like flavor) and bitter hops noticeable.

Sampled as part of a sixer. A really nice brew. Not sure if it has quite as much hops and malts as I expect from an ESB. Good malts though and a nice drinking brew. Pours dark brown with a nice lacey head. Great drink.

Bottle from 3 Sons. Really nice with lots of emphasis on Malt, still plenty of hops at finish cloudy honey color, not much head or lacing but really full flavored.

This is a top notch ESB. Malty aroma with a touch of bitterness. Flavor is malt sweetness with a big bitter finish. Just what the style should be.

Bottle from New Seasons Market - Portland. Nose is bold and bitter - not sweet or citrussy. Initial taste is bitter and nutty. End seemed lacking in boldness - somewhat weak. Overall a very nice ESB.
