| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 18, 2005 An amber beer with some hoppy nose, nice white head. Fairly fruity with slight maltiness. Easy on the tongue. I could swear they’ve changed the recipe for this beer. In th eold days with the big bottles this used to be an agressively hopped treasure. Pretty standard fair. cvillebeer (134), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 10, 2005 Pours a clear amber-gold with a nice lasting creamy head. The aroma is subdued, with hops and yeast. The flavor is smooth with a noticeable bitterness throughout that is just right. The British yeasty flavors are not as strong as I would like for this style however.Overall a solid and well made example. Ungstrup (15430), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Oranges and apricots maybe. Flavor is a bitter dark grain with some of those apricot type flavors again. Late lingering biterness. Nice rich feel. Darkover (1317), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2005 Orange color with a beige head. Aroma of caramel malt and a little fruit. Flavor of caramel malt and some other candy flavors. Finish is pretty bitter and tangy. bkelley68 (467), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 10, 2005 Golden pour, frothy head. Toasted malt aroma a touch of fruity hops. Just a bit thin, but the flavors were right. Lightly toasty, with more of that fruit from the aroma and a little bit of spice. Packs a wollup for an ESB at 6.8%. Pretty tasty beer that is just a bit too strong to be a session ale for me. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 4, 2005 Golden-wheat colored with a haziness that grew denser near the bottle’s end. Small, creamy, "eggshell" head. Citrus hop aroma leaned towards grapefruit. Some faint straw and caramel malt aroma to start that intensified over time. Sour apple flavor revealing a middle maltiness and a little sweetness as it warmed. Overall, too much sour and not enough bitter. I wouldn’t turn this down if offered, but I wouldn’t seek it out.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2005 Bottled. Pours a clear orange/amber, spit head and light carbonation. Aroma is a little buttery, fruity, mild but very abundant hops (pineapple, tree sap), hint of mystery spice, and medium alcohol. Flavor is fresh and bighty with out being overwhelming. Wonderful light cinnamon/nutmeg spice, with fresh popery hops, and butterscotch malt notes. Nice medium/light tingly mouth feel (also quite heavy at times), and very drinkable. Very tasty. Blew away my expectations.
