I have been pretty fond of the products I have tried from this company, and as I was recently on an ESB kick I went out an got myself a bottle of this one. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy copper color with lots of floaters and a small yellow-tan head. The aroma is bitter and malty and a bit sharp. The flavor is smooth, lightly malty, bitter and had a dry hop finish.

poured an orange brown/golden color. Nice hoppy aroma with fruity malt tones. Certainly was bitter and in a good way. Reallly smooth with just the right amount of malt.

On tap at Barley’s Taphouse in Asheville, NC. pours a deep golden. Strong hoppy aroma with grapefruit and curacao flavors. Malt body is on the rich side, making this a hop sponge. A dehydrated mouth awaits the drinker of this ale thanks to the fine bitter bite at the end.

Thanks to pjk33 for this tasty brew... Pours with a thick head and, uh, oh heck. This is a good beer. I can’t exactly describe why it is such, but just trust me. This is a good beer through and through. It won’t dazzle you with complexity or balance or any of that, but sometimes the best things come in (simple) packages. I enjoyed every sip of this one.

Nice Bitter. Not too many U.S. brewers stay true to style on this one. Good looking golden/orange brew with a short lived white head that lingers long enough to coat the glass. Good aromatic malts with a nice herbal hop bitterness in the aroma. The taste is of a nice, medium-bodied maltiness well balanced with the hops. The finish is a lingering combo of malt stickiness and herbal hop bitterness. Good drink.
