| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 23, 2009 The aroma is right on for the style with just a bit more hops than normal. It’s got caramel, yeast, butterscotch, nuts, and herbal hops. The appearance is hazy amber with a foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma but has quite an astringent finish. The palate is right for the style. Overall a good ESB but I just don’t like the finish. jkaiser (220), Orlando, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2009 This pours an amber color with a moderate sized off-white head which yields some lacing after each sip. The aroma here is fruity (apricot?) and malty. Medium-bodied, slick and smooth, with a very nice hop/malt balance. Flavors are bready and caramel malts with fruity and floral hops. Nice crisp bitter finish. A real nice drink. This is one of the best ESB’s I’ve had. Solid! rcweir (121), Massachusetts, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear dark gold with a 2 finger beige head and minor lacing. The nose is caramel malt and light earthy hops. The taste is caramel upfront that gives way to a bitter dry hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Decent. Hoppier than the aroma lets on.
