Bottle into Sam Adams Lager glass. Pours a clear light copper with a thin off-white head. Nose is citrus hops, some caramel adding some richness to it, and a bit of an aspirin note also. Flavor is perfectly balanced - a nice, rich caramel malt underpinning, a bit of toffee, with an overlaying note of citrus, pine, and a bit of astringency that meld very well together. Finish is long and moderately bitter. Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, a bit sticky, moderate carbonation. Very nice American take on an ESB.

Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one at his 2008 Zapit Tasing Tasting. A hazy orange pour that creates a soapy thin head. Malt aroma with just a touch of earthy hops. Some caramel. The flavor follows the aroma pretty much.

Burn orange color. Pours with a well developed head. There is a pleasant maltiness throughout. A generally mild beer that is easy drinking. Very good but not an exceptional example of an ESB.
