Filled with malt and hops. Hits you right away, with the aroma and taste. Nothing spectacular. Hoppy bite and lingering aftertaste. Alrighty then

bottle, labeled "belk’s ESB" - Pours amber with a one finger head. It smells of caramel malt and plenty of hops. The flavor is strong on the citrus hops, but balanced by the sweet caramel. It’s hoppier than most ESBs and very west coast. Fortunately I like that in a beer. Very enjoyable.

Bottle picked up by Craig at GBBF, cheers mate, and shared at Cropredy Festival 2008 Pours light amber with a white head. Slick citrus with some custard cream biscuit, bitterness lingers, nice beer.

Bottle at GBBF ’08, under the Belk’s name. Dark gold with a small off white head. Hoppy aroma and strong, sweet bitter taste. Lots of fizz. Like it. This was my #100 US beer, so that is my third national century after England and Belgium.

Bottle at GBBF 08. Amber colour. Starts with sweet malt and then veers to strong hoppy bitterness. Not so much balanced as a case of A then B. Very American!

Slightly cloudy, dark gold appearance with an average size head and very good lacing. Spicy, citrusy hop aroma. Hoppier taste than many more traditional ESB’s; malts in the background offered little balance. Bitter, dry, medium-bodied mouthfeel with an average length finish.

Poured a hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma was pretty balanced, nothing stuck out too much. Flavor was fairly malty with a hop kick in the finish. Not bad for the style.

Bottle... Poured foggy orange with a white head. Aroma is buttery with hops and malt that’s very earthy. Great hop and malt balanced flavors, and thick candy-like sugars that reminds of caramel. Very full finish that’s very tasty.
