Pretty, murky orange; smallish, white, bubbly and frothy head. Aroma heavy malts and citrus, with light alcohol evaporation. Flavor is quite malty and very, very bitter; finish is long and extremely hoppy. Medium body; a little sticky. Decent.

Aug 25, 2008 has a hoppy, peppery, toasty aroma. pours a very english ESB copper/gold color, a little hazy. has a very hearty flavor with peppery hops, sweetish malts and a thick mouthfeel. alcohol evident but not obtrusive. just lets you know you’re drinking a big boy beer. thick with enough carbo to keep it from being too creamy or heavy. nice bitter finish on this one. a winner in my book. i wish more west coast breweries would make ESB style beers.

Superb bright amber with a good white head. Lovely creamy malt aroma with decent earthy notes and a good hoppy topping. Flavour wise it’s not even close to an ESB but it’s certainly tasty. A good, well balanced all rounder and really enjoyable. Straight down the line but everything it does, it does well.

Aug 18, 2008 Bottle at GBBF 08. Copper clear colour. Overly peppery hoppy beer. Candy sugar sweet aroma too. Cor, that’s just a bit empty and not great. Too bitter.
