Pours a nice deep chestnut. Small tan head with great lacing. Aroma is somewhat muted but nice. Dark esters and alcohol come through. Flavor is big, sweet and dark esters, but not a lot of fruitiness I was looking for. But nice palate and alcohol strength is right on. Nice double.

Poured brown with red hues and a minimal white head. Aroma of sweet malts and some yeast and spice. Flavor was very similar to the aroma with nice spice, fruit, sweet malts etc. Finish is pretty light with some alcohol warmth, but all in all, it is hidden extremely well.

Pours a deep and dark red/amber. Aromas of sweet malt, dried fruit, and alcohol. Flavors of coffee, chocolate, dried fruit, give way to a sharp and bitter spicy hop finish. Leaves the mouth feeling awake and ready. I will buy again.

On tap at The Front Door Boise. Pours out a amber topped with a off white head. A nice sweet aroma of dark fruit. Tast of sweetness and a hint of bitter. Over all good Dubbel

Bottle from Nugget in Davis. This malty brew is a classic Dubbel with dark, dried fruit flavor. The alcohol was noticeable, but not as much as the 9 percent content might represent. Excellent brew.

22oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a deep brown with a reddish hue, mostly clear. Nose was fairly sweet with hints of candied sugar, caramel malts and dark fruits. A hint of alcohol on the finish, overall a great Dubbel.

Poured a dark brown with a moderately sized head. I could smell the malts as it poured out of the bottle. The flavor was dominated by brown sugar and carmel flavors. Just a little bit of bitterness in the beer, but went down very smooth. I was very surprised when I saw the alcohol content was whoppin 9 percent. Great brew from Anderson.

Wax-capped bomber. Poured a deeper, murky brown with just a swirl and some loose bubble for head. The aroma was very sweet with cane sugar, molasses, and caramel at the heart.. some herbal notes and dry cardamom show as well.. left an odd, not-too-enjoyable sweet impression. The flavor was equally sweet, showcasing candi sugar and darker fruits.. spicy floral notes provide a nice, lower-profile bitterness around the edges.. sticky, warm herbal finish. About medium-bodied with low carbonation and a sticky overall feel.. decently-balanced.. decent brew.
