Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy, mds and tupalev, my bottle. Poured a lovely clear ruby with an average creamy/foamy off-white head. Very sweet candy malt aroma, sweet dough yeastiness, with soft spices and vanilla, some , appreciable alcohol - quite appealing. Taste is also sweet, spicy, yeasty - not as much booze presence, excellent brown sugar malt with hints of raisins and apples in the finish. Decent body (not as thick as I make it sound), only moderate carbonation but a lovely shifting sweet medium-length finish - this is an excellent NorAm version of a Dubbel, I was impressed.

Pours a deep brown with some ruby red when held to the light. Head was small bubbly off white that left some lacing. Aroma was vinous, dark fruits, some caramel, cherry and a few other things I can’t quite put into words. Flavors of Belgian yeast, spices, dark fruits and toasty malts. Overall both sweet in aroma and flavor. Pretty much what you would expect from an American brewed dubbel.
