Bottle: Plummy, dark fruit and spice aroma; sweet throughout, lots of caramelized sugars, some chocolate and dates, apple/pear fruit notes and toasted biscuits; sticky, viscous and undercarbonated body; soft, spicy and yeasty finish; well hidden alcohol. I find this pretty enjoyable, despite some minor faults such as the inappropreate thickness and flatness of the body, and ’underattenuation’.

This is pretty darn dark. Smells very good, almost like a chocolate cake with lots of cognac.Big on the spicey fruit after a few minutes. Very thin on the flavor and maybe it is a little old. No,I will not finish this.

Beautiful color, above-average flavor, nice palate -- what’s wrong, not from Belgium? Sure, the cloudy nature of a Belgian (or Belgian-style) beer is lovely, but this beer reaches every aspect of a that I personally look for in a Belgian beer without the yeast in the bottle. Much respect for a brewery that can give me a amazing IPA along with a killer Belgian duo in the dubbel/trippel combo. Thank you Boont!

1pt. 6oz. Bottle covered in wax (pain in the ass to open) sampled with Beerded_one. Pours dark with a small tan head. Aroma of dark Fruit, yeast, slight roast, and spices. Flavor is a smooth 9%, mild carbonation, fruit, citrus, light roasted character, and a slight hoppy finish. Good body, good brew.

Thin, almost non-existant head. Light carbonation. Vinuous aroma with some other sour fruit, big malts and sweetness. Color is a dark chocolate brown. Yeasty and fruity flavor. More grapes and plums up front then a big kick of roasted malts and brown sugar. Pretty good alcohol kick. Little dry wth a bit of spices. Finish is warming with more spices. This is some pretty good stuf.

Dark brown pour with big bubbles. The nose is sweet, malty and yeasty. Fruits, both fresh and ripe, are evident. The flavor is filled with raisin and plum, brown sugar and orange. Juicy mouthfeel with a dry finish. A bit of pepper and spice linger. Nicely carbonated.

This is a fairly tasty beer that doesn’t score very high on any single aspect, but overall is a nice, warming sipper. Aroma is very mild with accents of port and brown sugar. Pours with very little head, which dissapears quickly. Color is a deep and clear coffee brown. The flavor is sweet with a little chocolate and warming alcohol. The carbonation was a little harsh. Lacks complexity and aroma, but otherwise pretty good.

Bottled. Pours a dark brown/ruby color. Yeasty bubblegum aroma. Roasted with some dark fruit as well. Flavor is dark fruitiness right up front. Some bubblegum flavor and spiciness. Finish has a hint of alcohol, but it is hidden fairly well. Enjoyable brew.
