Brownish-red pour with a nearly indistinct white head. Big yeasty smell with a hint of spice and some figs and plums. Sweet vinegar flavor with dried fruit and an earthish tinge. Not bad, not bad at all.

Rust red appearance with a small tan head and nice lacing. Malty, yeasty aroma full of ripe fruit, caramel and some spice. Earthy, sweetish taste, vinous, fruity and malty, with a hint of butterscotch intruding. Medium-to-full bodied and little carbonation. Long lasting finish with an unobtrusive alcohol presence.

Dark mahogany color, big thick head. It has a good caramel and chocolate aroma, strong body, medium sweetness, chocolate flavor, caramel of course, correct bitterness, alcohol warmth at the end. Maybe a bit too strong, correctly brewed, but without emotions, monodimensional and boring after a few sips.

Good Dubbel. Virtually no head on the beer. Dark brown color. Slightly nutty/fruity aroma. Carmel maltyness with a slight alcohol aftertaste. Nutty flavor mixed with carmel, cane sugar, slight fruit and alcohol. Finish is a little different which sets it apart from some of the true dubbels. Nice beer for an American dubbel.

Mostly caramel maltiness in this one...on the nose and tongue. Brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, roasted nuts and yeast are also there. Can definitely sense the alcohol but not so much in the flavor itself, but in how it warms. Clear gem-quality garnet in color with a light khaki foam that diminishes into a small ring around the rim. Decent lacing. Good brew for the price.
