I like this one better than it’s big brother, the Trippel. Clear brown with no head. Aroma of fruit, toffee, nuts and caramel. Taste of toffee, nuts, alcohol, fruit, brown sugar. Nutty aftertaste with some mild alcohol burn. Falls just a notch below the top tier dubbels.

Bottle. Nose is buttery and spicy with light alcohol and caramel notes. Dark amber with a thin bubbly head. Sweet with lots of ester character and a lightly tart finish. Clean thickish palate.

Bottle, at BA Throwdown #2. Dark brownish red pour, thin white head, sticky wet lacing. Pine nose, hearty bushel of hops, tropical fruits, mango, some caramel. Thick fruits, tropical, dark candy, tasty bitter finish, eggy at times. Not very DIPA-ish, tastes like a smooth Belgian. Good though.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber brown with a small light tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel, and spicy yeast. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good.

Fruity, raisens, figs, some cocoa, brown sugar, super aromatic, some soy sauce in finish. Too high abv for me but if your doctor said only one beer a day this would be a good one to consider! Tasty dubbel.

Raisiny vinous nose, some powdered chocolate notes. Deep, deep onyx red color, medium frothy head with nice lacing. Brown sugar rum raisin sweetness, slight bitter notes--very smooth. Creamy body, subtle smooth carbonation, horehound candy finish. A very nice beer, delicate and complex, alcohol is completely masked.

Pours a copper color with an off-white head. Aroma is pretty sweet with caramel malts, yeast, and some dark fruits. Flavor is of caramel malts, yeast, candied sugar, dark fruits, and some banana. Slight warming on the finish.
