Commercial Description:
The brewers of Anderson Valley had to conjure the High Priestess of Fermentation to help them formulate and create this rare hand-crafted elixer. It is luxuriant, smooth, more that a little wild, and at 10% alcohol, it's bound to raise your spirits. Open the Bottle and greet the High Priestess. You are worthy.

From a bottle poured a dark orange-amber body (dark for a trippel). Sweet, sticky, nutty, boozy. Syrupy and cloying. Alcohol not well masked. Not a very enjoyable trippel. Rather disappointing.

In the bomber bottle from Roof Brothers in Paducah. This bottle was aged for four years. Pours a hazy butterscotch color with a quickly dying white head. This beer has an amazing apple aroma. It smells like it just might be real sour, but it is not. There’s big alcohol heat to this. Super fruity: pears, apples, and homebrew cider in the flavor. A medium sweetness flows through it, but I detect a slight splash of diacetyl. Quite good. Plenty of esters. I like it.

Sweet. Caramel. A solid triple because it is aggressive. My next review will be the Southern Tier Triple which is anything but aggressive.

Brown apricot body with a light tan head. Large yeastie nose with caramel notes. Flavors include yeast, bread dough, sour apple, esters and spice.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange amber color with a smallish white head. The aroma is alcohol, yeast, sweet malt, and spices. The flavor is much of the same, but without the nice mixing or complimenting of flavors I would have liked. Alcohol is distracting in this one. Otherwise, sweet malt, light yeast presence, and not enough of the fruits. Spicy throughout. I expected more.

~Pours a cloudy golden amber colour with a small diminishing head. ~ Scents of fruit and spice/ Plum and corriander. ~ Taste is very sweet with some spiciness. ~ Palate feels sticky, sweet aftertaste. ~ I’m not a fan of these types of Belgiums. Too sweet for me. This is better than some I’ve had. Hides alcool very well. Gets better after first initial sips.

Amber pour with a thin beige head. Yeasty. Fruity. Malty. Sweet. Touch of plum and dark fruit flavor. Not a bad tripel.
