| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 6, 2008 From a bottle poured a dark orange-amber body (dark for a trippel). Sweet, sticky, nutty, boozy. Syrupy and cloying. Alcohol not well masked. Not a very enjoyable trippel. Rather disappointing. SledgeJr (2961), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 25, 2008 In the bomber bottle from Roof Brothers in Paducah. This bottle was aged for four years. Pours a hazy butterscotch color with a quickly dying white head. This beer has an amazing apple aroma. It smells like it just might be real sour, but it is not. There’s big alcohol heat to this. Super fruity: pears, apples, and homebrew cider in the flavor. A medium sweetness flows through it, but I detect a slight splash of diacetyl. Quite good. Plenty of esters. I like it. drfabulous (1244), Columbia, Missouri, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear orange amber color with a smallish white head. The aroma is alcohol, yeast, sweet malt, and spices. The flavor is much of the same, but without the nice mixing or complimenting of flavors I would have liked. Alcohol is distracting in this one. Otherwise, sweet malt, light yeast presence, and not enough of the fruits. Spicy throughout. I expected more. Oscbert (547), Sacramento, California, USA

~ Palate feels sticky, sweet aftertaste.
~ I’m not a fan of these types of Belgiums. Too sweet for me. This is better than some I’ve had. Hides alcool very well. Gets better after first initial sips. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA
