Commercial Description:
The brewers of Anderson Valley had to conjure the High Priestess of Fermentation to help them formulate and create this rare hand-crafted elixer. It is luxuriant, smooth, more that a little wild, and at 10% alcohol, it's bound to raise your spirits. Open the Bottle and greet the High Priestess. You are worthy.

I thought this was the least exciting tripel ("Triple") I’ve had in recent memory. It pours very viscously (thick!) with very minimal white head that looks a bit soapy. It is a dark yellow color, which is rather "tripel-y" (Tripoli?). It has a carbonated aroma with some fruit. Taste is rather clovey with some apple/pear and a very pleasing aftertaste. Mouthfeel is exceedingly thin and flat.

Roughly around middle of the pack for a Tripel. Only semi-cloudy in appearance. On the oily side for texture. Nothing really out of the ordinary to report here. But it’s an average Tripel, which makes for a very good beer.

Pours orange / copper with a short lasting fizzy tan head. The aroma is pretty hot with spice and banana - it comes across fairly medicinal. Medium body with a small amount of sharp carbonation. The taste is thankfully much better than the aroma. The taste has some fruit that is partially citrus / partially nectar fruits. There is some sweet and smooth malt and it lightly earthy. The finish is a bit sugary, light plastic, bit of sharp spice and some abv warm kick. A decent beer that I would get again.

Golden amber with a smell of ripe fruit slightly in the background. Alcohol taste but not bad after a couple of sips. Kind of a light citrus smell and taste. Not my favorite but nice beer for a one in a night.

Very strong and smooth, alcohol taste is present. Lighter mahogany in color, light golden brown. Definately smells ’’banana-nut.’’ Id buy it again, but its not an immediate favorite.

22oz. bomber: This one pours an opaque, brownish dark gold color. The usual fluffy head that you expect from a tripel didn’t happen with this one. It had a smaller, fizzy head that drops away almost immediately. The aroma is a bit disappointing also. It is OK, just very weak, especially for a 10% beer. Lighter notes of the banana and spice that are typical of the style. Also some notes of the alcohol. The taste is OK, with some of the banana notes and yeastiness. Alcohol taste also. It tastes like a tripel, but it is not as complex or smooth as I would expect from this type of beer. Just rates an OK. There are much better examples readily available.

Bright golden with 1 finger white head. Aroma is dominated by alcohol/fusel. some faint fruit in the background, but burns your nose hairs to get to it. Flavor much the same, quick banana and yeast kick up front, then alcohol through and through. Rather dissapointed.

pours a gorgeous deep gold with amber undertones. good white head that doesn’t retain well or lace. nose full of banana, spice and alcohol. flavor primarily sweet, with an alcohol/phenol aftertaste. rather thin-with a somewhat unpleasant fizziness on the tongue. not so easy to drink.
