Commercial Description:
The brewers of Anderson Valley had to conjure the High Priestess of Fermentation to help them formulate and create this rare hand-crafted elixer. It is luxuriant, smooth, more that a little wild, and at 10% alcohol, it's bound to raise your spirits. Open the Bottle and greet the High Priestess. You are worthy.

Clear , orange-hued, under a sizeable, creamy head. Sweet, fruity nose. Smooth, lightly hoppy, bits o’ spice. Nice and easy, going down. big spicy fruit, medium bodied, light, yet lingering finish. Doesn’t have enough presence, or character, though, to be memorable. Alcoholic content is well-hidden...at first. Then comes the brandy feel, and the burn. Nice enough, though. Not quite a typical, or a trancendent tripel, but nice.

Red copper ale with nice white head. Sweet coriander and oranges ina roma with light alcohol and hops. Rather thin sweet candy sugar in mouth, with warm alcohol and light orange peels. Short and thin. DumDum’s Belgian Sendoff on August 25, 2005.

Slightly hazy orange body, thin light tan head, clumping, creamy. Aroma with notes of pineapple, white grape, spice (peppery), and alcohol. Slightly tart body with pineapple, toast, and a spicy bitter finish with hot alcohol notes. Heavy on the spices and less complex than many examples.

Translucent copper pour. Strong aroma of sweet, ripe apples with spice and banana notes. The flavor is filled with sweet malts revealing themselves as plum, apple and banana with a touch of clove in the back of the mouth. The beer is light and sticky on the palate with a slight burning finish, probably because of the alcohol. Nice, but not as rounded and balanced as the other two tripels I have rated.

Amber body with a creamy head that immediately begins to disappear. The nose is yeasty, filled with light apple fruitiness with some residual sweetness. Full, round mouthfeel is loaded with bready, sweet malts and yeastty, dark fruits. Some artifiicial sweetener taste (candi sugar?) is present as well. A slightly bitter finish is surprising and nice. If they could curb some of the sweetness without adding anymore alcohol this could be a real winner.

Pours a beautiful orangish copper color. Head was a thin layer but broke down to patches of foam. Lovely aroma of authentic Belgian yeast as well as banana, clove, rose, and spices. The flavor is immediately recoginized as spicy and sweet with a moderate amount of malt and yeast playing their role. Other flavors such as banana, sugar, clove and lime leaf are also found. The finish somehow comes up empty with almost no aftertaste to speak of. I dont feel right about comparing this beer to another beer brewed from a different company but i can’t help to say that this does remind me of a Stone vertical epic 2004 a lot.

Syrupy sweet aroma, candi sugar and candied citrus rinds. Vapory, estery with notes of banana and pear, rum. Vinuous sweet grape must. Farmhouse, Belgian yesties and a bit of funk. Golden amber clear with some orange tint. Creamy off-white lacing head. Heavy watery body, almost oily, with light medium carbonation. Starts very sweet with too much candi sugar. Almost get mouth cankers from this stuff. Good malt flavor and nice level of fruit esters. Sweetness is not overcome by hops, though, and that really detracts from this brew. Needs to be drier and unfiltered. A bit watery at the end with mild alcohol warming and sweet tongue to finish.
