Commercial Description:
The brewers of Anderson Valley had to conjure the High Priestess of Fermentation to help them formulate and create this rare hand-crafted elixer. It is luxuriant, smooth, more that a little wild, and at 10% alcohol, it's bound to raise your spirits. Open the Bottle and greet the High Priestess. You are worthy.

sample glass from the brewery. a touch lighter than the double’s light brown giving it a clear amber view through the glass. the 10% abv is obvious through the malty sweet flavors with hints a fruit.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors - 22 oz bomber. Medium copper colored pour with a thin trailing white head. Aroma has a sweet bent to it with some bubble gum notes, hints of amaretto. Flavor is sweet as well with some caramel, figs, bubble gum, muted citrus and a hint of amaretto. Mouthfeel is smooth and silky. Betters as it warms.

Rich, yeasty aroma with caramel, almost bordering on a dubbel smell. Nice homebrew-suitable bomber bottle, bad cap, good label. Dark, mostly clear gold, frothy head. Strong, mouthy and satisfying. Nicely sweet, a little candied, grassy/banana peel tones. A couple of off notes in the peppery-sweet aftertaste. Kumquat fruitiness at the very end. Not the most deft American Tripel that I’ve had, but it’s a solid choice. Market Square.

First few sips come off cloyingly sweet, mostly of honey. But then some spice starts to raise it’s head and balance out the sweetness. ABV very well hidden.

2007 Vinage on tap at Sacramento Brewing. Consumed and reviewed in June 2009. I’ve had this beer a few times before in the bottle but this is my first time rating it. Light brown, creamy white head with excellent lacing. Banana nose. Taste is banana, clove, alcohol, and bread. Medium palate.

I think I prefer the dubbel to this one, this just seemed to lack a bit in character, and was quite thin on the palate. Sweet maltiness, without a great deal of defining yeastiness, some sweet candy sugar notes, along with light fruit flavors and some floral hoppiness.

bottle thanks to boomer0813. poured a copper color with a white to almost off white head. aroma was a fruity bouquet with orange up front very strong, peach, ginger, and a touch of honey. flavor was orange, spice, and a hint of pepper with an undertone of alcohol. medium body with high carbonation. pretty solid brew added to texas.

hazy amber with a thin whitish head. it smells of honey, brown sugar, cereal, yeast, orange and some spiciness. gasp!, this thing is really sweet... it is kept just shy of cloying with the help of alcohol. flavors underneath the cloak of sugar are banana starch (not the flavor but the floral fruity note), piloncilla/brown sugar, orange, malt, bready yeast, uncooked nuts and a sharp spiced finish. the body is medium leaning on syrupy = bad for a tripel. though the alcohol is not felt. this is a bully. it really lacks finesse... 6/3/5/2.5/13/2.95
